EE Providers

Since its formation in 2001, the Environmental Education Coalition of Napa County (EECNC) has grown to include the following non-profit organizations, agencies, and businesses. Each provides environmental education to local teachers and the community through field trips, guest speakers, and service projects.

California Conservation Corps

The California Conservation Corps engages young men and women in meaningful work, public service, and educational activities that assist them in becoming more responsible citizens, while protecting and enhancing California’s environment, human resources, and communities.

California Native Plant Society

The mission of the Natural Science Docent Program is to bring an understanding of and appreciation for the natural and cultural history of the local environs to the children of the Napa Valley. Third and fourth grade students are given the opportunity to participate in hands-on activities that promote their perception, enjoyment, and thoughtful preservation of Napa’s plants, animals, and wild areas, with special emphasis on the ecology, heritage, human impacts, and the future of Napa Valley’s environment.

Carolyn Parr Nature Center

Carolyn Parr Nature Center provides educational opportunities for people of all ages to learn about our natural environment. Education is the key to preservation, protection and conservation of our precious natural habitats.

City of American Canyon Water Division

It is the mission of the City of American Canyon to keep the community a nice place in which to live, work, and play. This mission will be accomplished by implementing prudent and proper policies that ensure the Community will be environmentally friendly and financially secure. To ensure a self-reliant, sustainable community, the City will offer a full array of quality public services, all provided in the most cost-effective manner possible. To ensure a well-informed and involved citizenry, the City will make its government as open as possible and as accessible as possible.

City of Napa Recycling Division

The Recycling Division is responsible for the work to meet the City's Disposal Reduction Policy and the State of California's mutual goal of diverting at least 75% of waste away from landfill by the year 2020 http://www.cityofnapa.org/recycle

Knowledge of local, regional, and global water supply issues allows citizens to make appropriate decisions in preserving today’s water for tomorrow’s generation. A water conservation ethic instilled at an early age will last a lifetime.

Connolly Ranch

The mission of Connolly Ranch is to connect kids with nature through farm based environmental education programs. Here they learn about farm life, the role of farm animals, the concepts of ecology and sustainability along with an appreciation for nature. They also learn about organic gardening, the sources and benefits of healthy foods and an appreciation of how nature works to sustain us.

Friends of the Napa River

The community’s voice for responsible protection, restoration, development, and celebration of the Napa River and its watershed through education and advocacy.

Heron Lake Ropes Course

The mission of the Ropes Course is to promote personal growth, strong teamwork, risk assessment, and perseverance for youth and our community through educational adventure-based experiences.
