Since its formation in 2001, the Environmental Education Coalition of Napa County (EECNC) has grown to include the following non-profit organizations, agencies, and businesses. Each provides environmental education to local teachers and the community through field trips, guest speakers, and service projects.

The mission of the Natural Science Docent Program is to bring an understanding of and appreciation for the natural and cultural history of the local environs to the children of the Napa Valley. Third and fourth grade students are given the opportunity to participate in hands-on activities that promote their perception, enjoyment, and thoughtful preservation of Napa’s plants, animals, and wild areas, with special emphasis on the ecology, heritage, human impacts, and the future of Napa Valley’s environment.
